About Me
My name is Clara Chanda, and I have been working with children as a Doctor of Physical Therapy since graduating from Duke University School of Medicine in 2019. I have a passion for encouraging kids to ‘Move and Grow’ through therapeutic interventions and play. It is important to me to provide education while walking alongside families as they navigate their child’s functional goals.
I have worked in many pediatric settings throughout my career. The majority of time has been spent in Early Intervention, home-health, with infants and toddlers as they navigate their first gross motor milestones. I have also worked in multiple outpatient clinics with children up to age eighteen years-old. In my last year of schooling, I trained in the acute and intensive-care settings where I gained experience in the NICU and PICU.
Throughout my experience, I have worked with kids of all ages with a wide breadth of diagnoses including: sports-related injury, pain, sensory-processing differences, Autism, Down Syndrome, developmental delay, genetic disorders, neurological conditions, plagiocephaly, and torticollis. Additionally, I occasionally teach and mentor at the Duke DPT Program.
I strive to provide therapeutic care to children while working closely with their families. I am passionate about engaging kids through play while challenging them to achieve their movement goals. That is why I started Move and Grow Pediatrics L.L.C. in 2023 - Let’s get your kids moving!
